About P-CLAD

The name is the mission.

Practical Christian Living And Discipleship. Not a slogan, a job description. We exist to help people follow Jesus in ways that show up in real life: at work, at home, on the hard days.

Our Mission

“Lead people to Christ through sound biblical teaching, intentional discipleship, and the practical application of Christian principles in everyday life.”

We are committed to creating a welcoming environment where people from all walks of life can feel at home. Whether you are seeking a place to worship, to grow in your understanding of the Bible, or to connect with others who share your faith journey, we are here to walk alongside you. We invite you to join us and become part of a family that grows together in Christ.

What We're After

Four goals. One direction.

Lead people to Christ

To lead people to Christ and to teach them how to live a victorious Christian life by our own example. That is what practical Christian living means.

Raise believers who can disciple others

Employing the principle of discipleship to raise competent believers who can disciple others in turn.

Help believers discover their divine calling

Through training and engagement in the fellowship, every believer discovers the calling God placed on their life.

Extend the love of Christ

To the needy, orphans, and the less privileged in our community, through the food pantry, the clothing closet, and care for our unhoused neighbors. See the outreach →

The Founders

Pastor Elvis & Mirabel Eghombi

Practical Christian Living and Discipleship Ministry (P-CLAD) was founded in 2021 by Pastor Elvis and his wife, Mirabel Eghombi. The ministry was born out of a shared burden and vision to provide practical discipleship and exemplary leadership to the Body of Christ. What began as a house fellowship has since grown into what is now known as P-CLAD Ministry.

Pastor Elvis serves as founder and lead pastor, while Mirabel serves as co-founder and music director. Pastor Elvis strongly believes in a practical approach to leadership and discipleship, one that requires leaders to model the principles they preach and teach. The central emphasis of his teaching is that believers should reflect the life of Christ through humility, honesty, integrity, and holy living.

Elvis and Mirabel are both from the Northwest Region of Cameroon and have been born-again believers for more than two decades. They have been married for more than a decade and are blessed with two children, Sincere and Nathan. Pastor Elvis holds a Master’s degree in Geology from the University of Yaoundé I and a Master’s in Environmental Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. Mirabel holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Buea and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Cincinnati.

Together, they are committed to raising believers who are equipped to apply the principles of Scripture to daily life: a community that not only knows the Word of God but lives it out in practical, meaningful ways.

Our Story

Built by hand.

The carpet in our sanctuary was laid by members. The chairs were assembled by members. That isn't a fundraising story, it's just how P-CLAD works: nobody is a spectator here.

What We Believe

Rooted in the Word.

We're a Bible teaching Christian church. In short: we believe in one God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, that Scripture is God's trustworthy Word, and that every believer is called to grow as a disciple and love their neighbor in practical ways. The full statement runs to sixteen truths, each with the Scriptures behind it.
